Treatment Services Snapshot

Individual and Group Therapy

CASA embraces a variety of therapies. The counselor and the patient decide the therapeutic interventions that work for the most successful course of treatment.

Certified Recovery Peer Support

A Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) is a person who has experienced both addiction and recovery and as a member of the team can provide mentorship, coaching, and accountability to patients. A bilingual CPS will often be incorporated in treatment through your waiting area experience, groups, and case consultations. They are often available via phone after regular working hours.

As a co-occurring capable clinic, CASA provides access to a qualified psychiatrist between 1-7 days from admission. Our objective is to help you find immediate mental and physical stability so your mind and your body can be ready for the next steps of substance use treatment.

Medically Assisted Treatment

Medication is a viable part of treatment that helps control cravings, reduce relapses, and jump-start achieving recovery goals. CASA treats Alcohol, Opioid, and Nicotine addictions through the use of medications and counseling.

Social Services

Social services are a part of assessments and offered to patients enrolled in either Adult or Youth Treatment Programs.

We provide level of care assessments for potential and existing patients, helping them with medical and financial benefits, including entrance into detox programs and higher levels of care.

Spiritual Care

Your spiritual well-being is always taken into consideration within the holistic care we provide at CASA. According to the National Institute of Health, individuals recovering from addictions frequently cite spirituality as a helpful influence. Our belief in Jesus Christ guides everything we do and makes us even more committed to people of all diverse backgrounds, regardless of their beliefs. We are committed to be a peaceful, prayerful and listening presence that seeks to demonstrate the love of God to all of His creation.

If you are a local church in the Philadelphia or the Philadelphia suburban community and are interested in connecting with CASA, please contact 267-670-0589.

Pastors and Christian Counselors on Staff

Pastoral staff are trained to provide empathetic and sensitive spiritual care, and are available to support staff and patients, upon their requests.

Spiritual resources and connections to local churches are also available for patients.

Experiential Learning and Recreational Therapy

Experiential learning is the process of learning by doing. By engaging participants in hands-on experiences and reflection, they are better able to connect concepts and knowledge learned in group therapy to real world situations. Recreational therapy is a therapeutic approach that uses recreational activities to enrich the psychological and physical well-being of individuals recovering from illnesses. Experiential and recreational modalities have been shown to reduce stress and anxiety and help build confidence as productive members of society. CASA uses group therapy settings to launch participants into different activities that promote clean and sober lifestyles.

Services Include

Treatment Process

Substance Use Treatment at CASA combines evidence-based practices and interventions that are proven to help the recovery of patients struggling with dependence to opioids/narcotics, cocaine, hallucinogens, cannabis, alcohol, and other substances. See below for a comprehensive list of included services.

Step 2

Assessment, Enrollment, and Placement
Once screening is done, an evaluation of your mental, social, physical, and spiritual needs will help determine the removal of treatment barriers, level of care, and medical or psychiatric services needed. Click here for list of Adult or Youth Substance Use Treatment services.

Step 3

Engagement
In addition to therapy, engagement includes access to a Peer Support Specialist, Social Worker, and/or Pastor who will collaborate to help continue the conversation of motivation in treatment and continuing needs as you move through the stages of change. CASA also provides a series of groups and special events throughout the year that helps you feel supported and connected to the CASA community.

Step 4

Completion and Aftercare
Once you are nearing the end of your Treatment Time Frame, you will take part in a consultation that helps outline the goals achieved and the readiness of successful discharge. Our priority is that you complete the program with proper community connections and accountability for you to maintain your wellness. Discharge from CASA is not the end of your recovery journey, it is a part of your recovery story.
